Zendesk Pricing 2026: Every Plan and the Real Bill for 5, 10 and 25 Agents
Zendesk pricing in 2026 starts at $19 per agent per month for Support Team. The Suite plans most teams buy cost $55 (Suite Team) and $115 (Suite Professional) per agent per month on annual billing, or $69 and $149 month to month, and Suite Enterprise has no public price. On top of the seats, Zendesk bills its AI agents per verified resolution, $1.50 to $2.00 each beyond a small allowance, and sells add-ons such as Copilot at $50 per agent.
Every figure below comes from Zendesk's own pricing pages and help center, checked on 14 October 2026, with Enjo Platform's seat-free pricing alongside for comparison. Then comes the math Zendesk's pricing page never runs: the real monthly bill for 5, 10 and 25 agents once AI resolutions are counted.

Zendesk pricing at a glance
Zendesk prices per agent, per month, on two separate ladders: Customer Service plans for teams supporting their customers, and Employee Service plans for IT and HR teams supporting employees. This guide starts with the Customer Service ladder.
Three things the headline price leaves out:
- The low prices are annual. Annual billing runs about 20 to 24% less than paying monthly. Month to month, a seat costs $6 more on Support Team, $14 more on Suite Team and $34 more on Suite Professional.
- Every agent is a seat. Zendesk's own pricing FAQ calls its pricing "primarily seat-based". Suite Professional includes up to 100 light agents, who can read tickets and add private comments without a paid seat; every full agent is billed at the plan price.
- AI is metered separately. AI agents come with every Suite and Support plan, but Zendesk bills them per automated resolution, beyond a small allowance per agent. That line is where most budgets go wrong, and the sections below run the numbers.
What older Zendesk pricing guides miss
If you are holding a quote or a comparison from earlier in the year, check it against Zendesk's current pages on three points:
- AI resolutions are tiered. Since 18 May 2026, Zendesk splits AI outcomes into assisted escalations, contained resolutions and verified resolutions, and bills only the verified ones.
- Suite Enterprise has no public price. The top Customer Service plan is sold as Suite Enterprise + Copilot, through sales only.
- The "Advanced AI Agents" add-on is gone from the list. Several pricing guides that rank for this search still quote it. Zendesk's current add-on list doesn't include it; AI agents are included in every plan, and Forethought AI agents by Zendesk are sold through sales with no published price.
Zendesk Suite pricing: what each plan includes
Each tier adds features to the one below it, and the features a tier gates decide which price applies to every seat on the account.
Support Team: $19 per agent
Email ticketing with ticket routing, prebuilt analytics dashboards, pre-written responses (macros), customer context, and automations and triggers. It is an email-first plan: messaging, live chat and phone start at Suite Team, and Support plans include no light agents. It includes 5 AI resolutions per agent per month.
Suite Team: $55 per agent
Adds messaging and live chat, telephony, omnichannel routing, a knowledge base with one help center, Action Builder for multi-step actions across Zendesk and other systems, and AI agents on messaging. The AI allowance stays at 5 resolutions per agent per month, and Action Builder includes up to 40,000 actions a month.
Suite Professional: $115 per agent
The plan Zendesk labels Most Popular, and the one its 14-day trial runs on. It adds skills-based routing, IVR phone trees, Admin Copilot, App Builder, AI writing tools and quick reports, plus:
- 10 AI resolutions per agent per month instead of 5
- up to 100 light agents and up to 5 help centers
- a pooled allowance of Copilot writing tools, ticket summaries, merge suggestions and similar tickets: 5 uses per agent per month, shared across the team and capped at 500 per account
- up to 100,000 Action Builder actions a month and 1,000 Sunshine Conversations monthly active users
Suite Enterprise + Copilot: sales quote
Adds intelligent triage, auto assist, generative AI for voice, approval workflows, a sandbox environment and custom agent roles, with Copilot in the plan name. Zendesk publishes no price for it. It also sells a Suite + Copilot bundle on Professional and above, which its help center describes as discounted.
Zendesk Employee Service pricing: $29 to $99 per agent
The Employee Service Suite is priced on its own ladder for IT, HR and internal service teams, with a Suite Growth tier between Team and Professional.
Suite Growth ($59) adds IT asset management, a service catalog, a self-service employee portal, tasks and approvals, and SLAs. AI resolutions bill at the same $1.50 and $2.00 rates as the Customer Service plans. For IT teams weighing the Employee Service Suite against an ITSM tool, our Zendesk vs Freshservice comparison covers that decision.
How Zendesk AI pricing works
Zendesk includes AI agents in every Suite and Support plan and bills them by outcome: one automated resolution for each conversation verified as resolved without a human. Three numbers set that line of the bill.
- The allowance: 5 automated resolutions per agent per month on Support Team and Suite Team, 10 on Suite Professional, up to 10,000 a year per account. A 10-agent Suite Professional team gets 100 a month. A Suite Professional account hits the 10,000 cap at 84 agents, and seats added after that bring no more resolutions.
- Committed resolutions: $1.50 each, bought in advance as a fixed volume.
- Pay-as-you-go resolutions: $2.00 each, with no commitment.
What counts as a billable resolution since 18 May 2026
Zendesk's help center article "About automated resolution tiers" sorts every AI conversation into one of three tiers, and only one of them consumes the allowance.

- Assisted escalation, not billed: the AI agent collected details, authenticated the customer or routed the request, and a human agent finished it.
- Contained resolution, not billed: the AI agent answered and the customer asked for nothing more, but a large language model reviewing the conversation did not confirm the request was resolved.
- Verified resolution, billed: the same, and the review confirmed the request was resolved.
The review runs when the conversation ends: 72 hours after the first email, 2 hours after the first message on messaging by default (extendable to 72 hours), and at hang-up on voice.
The budgeting consequence is the part pricing pages skip. The AI line grows with every request the AI resolves well, so the better your AI agent performs, the bigger that line gets, and it is the one number you can't know until the AI is live. Size committed volume from real resolution counts rather than from the allowance, and set what happens at the limit. Our guide to how to control costs with AI agents covers the forecasting side.
Copilot is a separate per-agent line
Copilot is Zendesk's agent-side AI: auto assist, suggested first replies, writing tools and intelligent triage inside the agent workspace. It costs $50 per agent per month on annual billing, can be added to Suite Professional and above, and is switched on by default in Zendesk's free trial. Bought without it, Suite Professional keeps intelligent triage classifications and the pooled 5 uses per agent of writing tools and summaries; auto assist and suggested first replies need the add-on.
Zendesk add-ons and separately priced lines
These are the lines that sit outside the plan price. Every price here is per agent per month on annual billing unless it says otherwise.
- Copilot: $50, on Suite Professional and above.
- Quality Assurance: $35, automated scoring of conversations across human and AI agents.
- Workforce Engagement bundle: $50, Workforce Management and Quality Assurance together.
- Contact Center: $83 on top of any Suite plan, built on Amazon Connect. Each user gets one Minutes Block a month (1,000 minutes for conversational IVR, outbound campaigns, transcription, recording, screen sharing and video calling); extra blocks are $33 and must be bought in the same quantity for every Contact Center user. Amazon Connect telephony and AWS services bill on consumption, and Zendesk requires a Premier plan alongside the Suite plan.
- Action Builder credits: $200 per 100,000 actions beyond the plan's included volume.
- Messaging volume: $50 per pack of 2,500 extra Sunshine Conversations monthly active users, beyond the 1,000 Suite Professional includes.
- Usage lines: voice minutes, text messages and some social and business channels carry their own fees.
- No public price on Zendesk's pricing pages: Advanced Data Privacy and Protection (Suite Enterprise and above), Workforce Management on its own, extra sandboxes, the High Volume API add-on (10 agent seats minimum) and Premier support plans.
What Zendesk really costs for 5, 10 and 25 agents
Here is the math on Suite Professional, the plan Zendesk labels Most Popular, on annual billing, for a team whose AI agent produces 1,000 verified resolutions a month. Swap in your own volume; the method doesn't change.
Seats are $115 times the agent count. The allowance is 10 resolutions per agent, so the three teams get 50, 100 and 250 a month included, and the rest bill at the $1.50 committed rate. Change one input and the bill moves like this:
- Pay as you go on resolutions: the AI line becomes $1,900, $1,800 and $1,500, for totals of $2,475, $2,950 and $4,375.
- Add Copilot: $50 more per agent, for totals of $2,250, $3,000 and $5,250 a month.
- Pay monthly: the seat line becomes $745, $1,490 and $3,725.
- Drop to Suite Team: seats fall to $275, $550 and $1,375, but the allowance halves to 5 per agent, so the AI line rises to $1,462.50, $1,425 and $1,312.50. Totals land at $1,737.50, $1,975 and $2,687.50, without skills-based routing, IVR or light agents.
Over a year, the base case comes to $24,000, $30,000 and $48,000.

Two meters do the growing. Seats grow with headcount and the AI line grows with AI success, and a growing support team expects both to rise. A team that resolves more with AI saves agent hours and still pays more to Zendesk for each request the AI resolves.
How to estimate your own Zendesk bill

- Count full agents. People who only read and comment can be light agents on Suite Professional, up to 100.
- Find the tier your requirements force. Messaging, live chat or phone means Suite Team at least. Skills-based routing, IVR, light agents or a second help center means Suite Professional.
- Multiply by the price for your billing term: $19, $55 or $115 annual; $25, $69 or $149 monthly.
- Add per-agent add-ons such as Copilot ($50), Quality Assurance ($35), the Workforce Engagement bundle ($50) or Contact Center ($83).
- Price the AI. Estimate verified resolutions a month, subtract 5 or 10 per agent, and multiply what is left by $1.50 committed or $2.00 pay as you go.
- Add the usage lines: voice minutes, text messages, extra messaging users and Action Builder credits.
Questions to settle before you sign or renew
Run these against your own account data rather than the quote:
- Which single feature in the quote forces the tier, and what does that feature cost per agent per month once it is multiplied across every seat?
- How many verified resolutions did the AI agent produce last quarter, and is the committed volume sized to that number or to the allowance?
- What happens when the account reaches its resolution limit: does the AI agent pause, or does overage bill at $2.00?
- Which add-ons does the quote apply per agent, and to how many seats?
- Is Copilot priced inside the plan (Suite Enterprise + Copilot or the Suite + Copilot bundle) or as its own line?
On Enjo Platform most of those questions fall away. Seats aren't priced, so no feature gets multiplied across them, and AI usage is one number, AI replies, with each plan's included volume printed on the pricing page.
What the same teams pay on Enjo Platform
Enjo Platform prices per AI reply, not per seat. Every published plan includes unlimited human agent seats, so 5, 10 or 25 agents cost the same. Current details are on Enjo pricing.
- Free: $0 a month, 200 AI replies, a shared Inbox, Help Center and Insights. No credit card.
- Starter: $95 a month, 1,000 AI replies. Adds AI Actions and core Guardrails.
- Standard: $295 a month, 3,000 AI replies. Adds natural language workflows, advanced Guardrails, AI testing and training workflows, and an audit trail with QA review flows.
- Enterprise: custom pricing on yearly billing.
An AI reply is one response Enjo sends to a requester, which is a different unit from Zendesk's: Zendesk bills only verified resolutions, while Enjo counts every AI reply, including replies in conversations a human finishes. The table below compares the seat line only: Zendesk Suite Professional seats against the Enjo Platform Standard plan, which includes unlimited human agent seats.
When the Free plan's 200 replies are used, requests auto-escalate to human agents and support keeps running in Inbox with unlimited seats. Starter and Standard can be cancelled anytime.
Why the two bills behave differently
Zendesk is a seat-based service suite. Ticketing, messaging, voice and help center are sold per agent, AI agents are metered per verified resolution, and agent-side AI is sold per agent through Copilot. The bill tracks headcount and AI success, the two numbers a growing support team expects to rise.
Enjo Platform is built agent-first. The AI Support Agent is configured before any queue exists, and Inbox is the helpdesk for escalations and human collaboration rather than the primary work surface. Teams that want a ticket queue first with AI attached later are describing the legacy model, which is the point rather than a limit.
In practice, Enjo resolves requests end to end, including actions in connected systems through AI Actions, with every answer grounded in your knowledge and cited. When it can't resolve a request, it escalates into Enjo Inbox, and the human receives the full conversation, account context and suggested next steps. Human responses feed back into the system, so the agent learns from how your team resolves what it escalated. Enjo Help Center runs on the same knowledge index as the agent and Inbox, so what the AI says is what agents see and what requesters find. Requesters reach it on website chat, the Help Center portal and Slack Connect shared channels, and employees reach it in Slack and Microsoft Teams.
The proof that matters for this math is resolution in production. At Aurora, a $14B autonomous vehicle company, Enjo resolves 63% of requests autonomously, with 45% faster resolution.
Teams moving off Zendesk can import Zendesk Help Center articles into Help Center and Zendesk tickets into Inbox, and Enjo can index past Zendesk tickets as a knowledge source on a daily sync. Enjo is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR compliant, with Guardrails on AI inputs and outputs and full audit logs.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Zendesk cost per agent?
Zendesk costs $19 to $115 per agent per month on annual billing for its Customer Service plans: $19 for Support Team, $55 for Suite Team and $115 for Suite Professional. Month to month the same plans are $25, $69 and $149. Suite Enterprise + Copilot is quote only. Employee Service plans run $29, $59 and $99 per agent on annual billing.
Why is Zendesk so expensive?
Zendesk's bill runs on three meters at once: a per-agent plan price, per-agent add-ons, and a per-resolution charge for AI. A 10-agent team on Suite Professional pays $1,150 a month for seats on annual billing, $500 more for Copilot, and $1.50 to $2.00 for every verified AI resolution beyond the 100 a month the plan includes.
Does Zendesk have a free plan?
No. Zendesk has no free plan. It offers a 14-day free trial of Suite Professional with Copilot included, and a startups program for qualified early-stage companies. Enjo Platform has a permanent Free plan: 200 AI replies a month, unlimited human agent seats, Inbox, Help Center and Insights, with no credit card.
How does Zendesk AI pricing work?
Zendesk bills AI agents per automated resolution. Each plan with a public price includes 5 or 10 resolutions per agent per month, up to 10,000 a year; beyond that, resolutions cost $1.50 each when committed in advance or $2.00 pay as you go. Since 18 May 2026 only verified resolutions are billed; assisted escalations and contained resolutions are not. Copilot, the agent-side AI, is a separate $50 per agent per month.
What is the difference between Zendesk Support and Suite?
Support Team ($19 per agent) is email ticketing with routing, macros, automations and prebuilt dashboards. Suite plans ($55 and up) add messaging and live chat, telephony, omnichannel routing, a knowledge base, Action Builder and AI agents on messaging. Suite Professional and above also include light agents and multiple help centers.
Can you negotiate Zendesk pricing?
The self-serve list prices are fixed, but Zendesk sells enterprise plans, multi-year terms, committed AI resolution volumes and the Suite + Copilot bundle through its sales team, and it describes that bundle as discounted. Those are the lines a sales-assisted quote can move. Bring last quarter's verified resolution count to size the committed volume.
What are some free alternatives to Zendesk?
Enjo Platform is free to start and stays free: the Free plan includes 200 AI replies a month, unlimited human agent seats, a shared Inbox, a Help Center and Insights, with no credit card and no time limit. For a wider list, see our roundup of the best Zendesk alternatives.
