Intercom Pricing 2026: Seats, Fin Outcomes, Add-ons and the Real Bill for 3 Teams
Intercom pricing in 2026 has two parts. You pay for a seat for every teammate who replies to customers: $29, $85 or $132 a month on Essential, Advanced and Expert with annual billing, or $39, $99 and $139 month to month. Then you pay for Fin AI Agent by the outcome: $0.99 each time Fin resolves a conversation or completes a handoff you configured, and $9.99 for each sales qualification.
Add-ons sit on top of both: Copilot at $29 per teammate a month ($35 on monthly billing), Pro from $100 a month, and Proactive Support Plus at $99. Teams that keep another helpdesk can buy Fin on its own at $0.99 an outcome, with a $49 monthly minimum.
Below is every price line, checked on Intercom's and Fin's own pricing pages on 21 October 2026, and the real monthly bill for three support teams, including what happens to it as Fin resolves more.

Intercom pricing at a glance
Every Intercom bill starts with seats. Each teammate who replies to customers needs a Full seat on one of three plans, and the plan sets the seat price for everyone on the account.
| Plan | Annual Billing | Monthly Billing | Lite Seats Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $29 | $39 | None |
| Advanced | $85 | $99 | 20 |
| Expert | $132 | $139 | 50 |
Intercom helpdesk plans, price per Full seat per month. Fin AI Agent is included on every plan and billed per outcome on top. Intercom's pricing page also shows a new-customer price on Essential: $19 on annual billing, $29 monthly. Everything else is metered on top of the seats. This is the full list of usage charges and add-ons on Intercom's and Fin's pricing pages today:
| Price Line | Price | Unit | What To Know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fin AI Agent | $0.99 | Outcome | At most one charge per conversation |
| Fin qualification | $9.99 | Qualification | Fin for Sales routes a qualified lead |
| Fin on other helpdesks | $0.99 | Outcome | A minimum of 50 outcomes a month |
| Fin Voice | $1.99 | Voice outcome | Intercom lists it through sales; Fin's page says custom pricing for select customers |
| Copilot, unlimited | $29 | Teammate a month | $35 on monthly billing |
| Pro add-on | $0.20 | Conversation | 500-conversation minimum, so $100 a month at the floor |
| Proactive Support Plus | $99 | Month | 500 messages included, then per message |
| Messaging channels | Usage based | Varies by channel | SMS, WhatsApp, phone, email campaigns |

Three things the headline numbers leave out:
- The low seat prices are annual. Month to month, a seat costs $10 more on Essential, $14 more on Advanced and $7 more on Expert. Intercom's pricing FAQ lists monthly self-serve billing for Essential and Advanced.
- Fin is included, not free. Every plan includes access to Fin AI Agent, and every outcome Fin delivers is billed at $0.99 on top of the seats.
- Pro is priced on conversations, not outcomes. Pro costs $0.20 per conversation with a 500-conversation minimum, so $100 a month is the floor, and every conversation counts, whether Fin resolved it or a person did.
Intercom, Fin and Salesforce: who you are buying from
The company behind Intercom now calls itself Fin, after its AI agent. Its pricing covers two products: the Intercom helpdesk, billed per seat, and Fin AI Agent, billed per outcome inside Intercom or on top of another helpdesk such as Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot or Freshdesk.
Salesforce signed an agreement to buy Fin, formerly Intercom, for about $3.6 billion on 15 June 2026 and completed the acquisition on 10 September 2026. Salesforce's completion announcement says Fin will continue to serve its customers as part of Salesforce's AI Labs, and it says nothing about pricing. Both pricing pages still listed the prices in this guide on 30 October 2026.
How Intercom pricing works: seats plus outcomes
An Intercom invoice adds up four meters. Two of them, seats and add-ons, are fixed once you choose them. The other two, Fin outcomes and channel usage, move with your volume every month.

- Seats. A Full seat is required for anyone who replies to customers or sends outbound messages. Lite seats are free on Advanced (20 included) and Expert (50 included) for internal collaboration, but a Lite seat cannot send messages or use Copilot. The minimum is one Full seat and there is no maximum.
- Fin outcomes. $0.99 for each conversation Fin resolves or hands off through a Procedure you built, $9.99 for each sales qualification.
- Add-ons. Copilot per teammate, Pro by conversation volume, Proactive Support Plus as a flat monthly fee with a message allowance.
- Channels. Live chat, support email and in-app chat are free and unlimited on every plan. Email campaigns, SMS, WhatsApp and phone are pay as you go, at rates that vary by region and volume.
Essential, Advanced and Expert: what each seat unlocks
Intercom describes Essential as customer support for individuals, startups and small businesses. It includes Fin AI Agent, the Messenger, a shared inbox and ticketing system, pre-built reports, a public Help Center, simple automations and the Slack integration.
Advanced ($85 a seat on annual billing) adds the Workflows automation builder, multiple team inboxes, round robin assignment, a private and multilingual Help Center, a tickets portal, custom reports, the Salesforce and Marketo integrations, and 20 free Lite seats.
Expert ($132 a seat) adds SSO and identity management, HIPAA support, service level agreements, a multibrand Messenger and Help Center, workload management, team office hours, a real-time dashboard, an extended API limit and 50 free Lite seats.
The plan you choose sets the price of every Full seat, so the feature a team needs most decides what all of its seats cost. A team that needs SLAs pays the Expert price for all of its agents, not only for the ones who work SLA queues.
The new-customer price on Essential
Intercom's pricing page currently shows Essential at $19 a seat on annual billing (35% off $29) and $29 on monthly billing (25% off $39), labelled for new customers. The discount applies to all seats for as long as you remain subscribed. The worked bills below use the standard prices; on the new-customer price, a three-seat Essential team saves $30 a month on annual billing.
Fin AI Agent pricing: what counts as an outcome
Fin is billed per outcome, and Intercom is specific about what an outcome is. There are five kinds, and you are charged at most one per conversation, however many questions Fin answers or actions it takes:
- Resolution, $0.99. No further help is requested after Fin's last answer.
- Procedure handoff, $0.99. Fin completes a Procedure you configured to end in a handoff to a person or a workflow.
- Disqualification, $0.99. With Fin for Sales, Fin decides a prospect doesn't match your criteria.
- Self-serve routing, $0.99. With Fin for Sales, Fin sends a prospect to a self-serve path, such as a trial signup.
- Qualification, $9.99. With Fin for Sales, Fin matches a prospect to your criteria and routes them, for example to book a call.
The resolution rule is the one that drives most bills. Intercom counts a resolution when the customer confirms the answer helped, and also when the customer leaves after Fin's answer without asking for more help, which Intercom calls an assumed resolution. Intercom's help article is explicit that a frustrated customer who just leaves after Fin's answer is billed as an assumed resolution, unless Fin detects the frustration and escalates first.
You are not charged when a customer asks for a person, when Fin can't answer and escalates, when Fin escalates under its default rules or your workspace rules, when a Procedure fails, or when a conversation is spam or abandoned. If a customer comes back to a resolved conversation for more help, even in a later billing period, the resolution is deducted. Intercom also lets you set usage alerts and a hard monthly limit on outcomes.
One detail matters for teams where people and Fin share conversations: if Fin has already answered and the customer hasn't asked for more help, a teammate who joins, self-assigns or closes the conversation doesn't stop it from counting as a resolution.
Fin on your existing helpdesk
Teams that keep Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, Freshdesk or another helpdesk can buy Fin without any Intercom seats. The price is the same $0.99 per outcome, with no setup, integration or platform fee and unlimited teammates. Fin's pricing page sets a minimum of 50 outcomes a month, so $49.50 at the floor. This route is sold through sales, Fin for Sales and Fin for Ecommerce need an Intercom plan, and the Early Stage startup program doesn't apply to it. Your existing helpdesk's own seats stay on its own invoice.
Fin Voice
Fin Voice is for phone support. Intercom's pricing page lists it at $1.99 per voice outcome through sales; Fin's pricing page describes it as custom pricing for select customers. The $0.99 rate applies to Fin over chat and email.
Intercom add-ons: Copilot, Pro and Proactive Support Plus
All three add-ons are included in the 14-day free trial, which is where many teams first meet them, and each can be added or removed at any time on self-serve plans.
Copilot: $29 per teammate
Copilot is the AI assistant inside the Intercom inbox for your human agents. Every Full seat includes 10 Copilot conversations and 10 AI auto-translation conversations a month. Unlimited Copilot costs $29 per teammate a month on annual billing or $35 monthly. Lite seats can't use Copilot at all.
Pro: $0.20 per conversation, $100 minimum
Pro bundles Operator, an agent for customer operations that analyzes support data, tests Fin and edits Procedures and content, with CX Score, Topics Explorer, Trends, Recommendations and real-time incident detection. Intercom's Pro add-on help article prices it at $0.20 per conversation with a 500-conversation minimum, so $100 a month is the floor.
Intercom's example: 6,000 conversations in a month costs $1,200. Operator runs on credits; Intercom's pricing FAQ says Pro includes 6,000 a month, and extra credits cost $0.01 each. Several pricing guides that rank for this search still quote Pro at $99 for 1,000 conversations, which is no longer what either pricing page shows.
Proactive Support Plus: $99 a month
Proactive Support Plus adds product tours, surveys, in-app posts, checklists, mobile push and mobile carousels, plus the Series campaign builder. The $99 includes 500 messages sent a month; messages beyond that are charged per message, at tiered rates that fall as volume grows.
Costs that don't appear in the headline price
- Messaging channels. SMS is charged per message sent or received and varies by region, WhatsApp per conversation by volume and direction, phone by usage, and email campaigns per bulk email sent. None of these rates is on the main pricing page.
- A Full seat for every person who replies. Lite seats cover internal collaborators, but anyone who answers customers, including the occasional product or billing expert, needs a Full seat at the plan price.
- Sales qualifications at ten times the rate. A team that uses Fin for Sales pays $9.99 for each qualified lead Fin routes to a call or a trial, against $0.99 for a support resolution.
- Services under contract. Premier Support and Premier Support Rapid Response require a contract through sales and have no public price.
- Payment terms. Self-serve plans are paid by card or digital wallet in US dollars only; ACH and wire transfers are for contracted customers.
The real monthly Intercom bill for three support teams
Intercom's calculator asks for your team size and expected outcomes. The harder number to predict is the second one, so here is the full bill for three team shapes at the same assumptions:
- Team A: 3 agents on Essential, 1,000 conversations a month, no add-ons.
- Team B: 10 agents on Advanced, 3,000 conversations a month, unlimited Copilot for every agent and Pro.
- Team C: 25 agents on Expert, 10,000 conversations a month, unlimited Copilot for every agent and Pro.
All three pay annually at standard list prices, and Fin answers every conversation first. At a 50% outcome rate, meaning half of all conversations end in a billable resolution or Procedure handoff, the bills look like this:
| Monthly Line | Team A: 3 Agents | Team B: 10 Agents | Team C: 25 Agents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seats, annual billing | $87 | $850 | $3,300 |
| Copilot, unlimited | None | $290 | $725 |
| Pro add-on | None | $600 | $2,000 |
| Fin outcomes at 50% | $495 | $1,485 | $4,950 |
| Total per month | $582 | $3,225 | $10,975 |
Team A: Essential, 1,000 conversations a month. Team B: Advanced, 3,000 conversations. Team C: Expert, 10,000 conversations. Annual billing, standard list prices, Fin answering every conversation first, half of them ending in a billable outcome.
At Team A's size, Fin is 85% of the bill. At Teams B and C, add-ons take a larger share, but Fin is still the biggest single line. On monthly billing the same seats would cost $117, $990 and $3,475, and unlimited Copilot $350 and $875.
What happens to the bill as Fin resolves more
Per-outcome billing grows exactly when automation starts working. Hold the team and the volume steady and raise only Fin's outcome rate, and the bill climbs by $0.99 for every conversation Fin now finishes:
| Fin Outcome Rate | Team A | Team B | Team C |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30% | $384 | $2,631 | $8,995 |
| 50% | $582 | $3,225 | $10,975 |
| 70% | $780 | $3,819 | $12,955 |
| Each 10 points more | +$99 | +$297 | +$990 |
Total monthly bill for the same three teams, with seats and add-ons held constant. Only the Fin line changes.

A 70% outcome rate is not a stretch target. The cost calculator on Intercom's pricing page defaults to a 76% resolution rate, which it marks as Fin's average. A team that tunes Fin well should plan for the 70% row, not the 30% row.
The seat line only falls if you remove seats. The usual reason to deploy an AI agent is that it takes the repetitive load so your team works the cases that need a person, and on a per-outcome meter that success arrives as a larger invoice. Budget for the outcome rate you are aiming for, not the one you start with.
What the same three teams pay on Enjo Platform
Enjo Platform prices support by AI usage rather than by seats or outcomes. Enjo is the AI Support Agent; Enjo Platform is Enjo plus Inbox, Help Center, Insights, Automation Tools and Security. Every published plan includes unlimited human agent seats, and usage is counted in AI replies: one AI reply is one response Enjo's AI agent sends to a requester.
- Free: $0 a month, 200 AI replies, with Inbox, Help Center and Insights. No credit card.
- Starter: $95 a month, 1,000 AI replies, adding AI Actions and core Guardrails.
- Standard: $295 a month, 3,000 AI replies, adding natural language workflows, advanced Guardrails, AI testing and training workflows, enhanced analytics and an audit trail with QA review flows.
- Enterprise: custom pricing on yearly billing.
Additional replies cost $0.05 each on Starter and Standard. On Free, once the 200 replies are used, requests escalate to your team in Inbox, so nothing is dropped. Current details are on Enjo pricing.
The units are different, so the comparison has to be stated openly. Fin bills one outcome per conversation and nothing for escalations. Enjo counts every AI reply, including replies in conversations that end with a person. The table below charges Enjo for 3 and for 5 AI replies in every conversation, resolved or escalated, and leaves Copilot and Pro off the Intercom side:
| Monthly Bill | Team A | Team B | Team C |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intercom seats and Fin, 50% outcomes | $582 | $2,335 | $8,250 |
| Intercom seats and Fin, 70% outcomes | $780 | $2,929 | $10,230 |
| Enjo Platform Standard, 3 AI replies each | $295 | $595 | $1,645 |
| Enjo Platform Standard, 5 AI replies each | $395 | $895 | $2,645 |
Intercom rows leave out Copilot and Pro, so they are the lower bound for Teams B and C. Enjo rows count every AI reply in every conversation, resolved or escalated, at $0.05 per reply past the 3,000 included; human agent seats are unlimited on every Enjo plan. Enjo prices from enjo.ai/pricing; Intercom prices checked 30 October 2026.
The quickest way to run this on your own numbers is per conversation. Fin's AI line costs $0.99 times your outcome rate: $0.297 per conversation at 30%, $0.495 at 50% and $0.693 at 70%. Enjo's costs $0.05 per AI reply past the plan's included replies: $0.15 per conversation at 3 replies, $0.25 at 5. At a 50% outcome rate, Fin's AI line runs $0.495 per conversation against Enjo's $0.15 to $0.25, and the seat line is zero because human agent seats are unlimited. Starter would cost $100 less than Standard at each of these volumes.
The difference comes from how Enjo Platform is built. The AI Support Agent is configured first and resolves the work it can complete, grounding every answer in your knowledge with citations, under Guardrails and a full audit trail. When it can't resolve a request, it escalates to your team in Inbox, and the person who picks it up receives the full conversation, account context and suggested next steps. Enjo learns continuously from how your team responds, and the same knowledge index powers the agent, your human agents in Inbox and the Help Center, so what the AI says is what requesters find. Enjo runs in website chat, Slack, Microsoft Teams, the Help Center portal and Slack Connect shared channels.
Enjo Platform is built agent-first. The AI Support Agent is configured before any queue exists, and Inbox is the helpdesk for escalations and human collaboration rather than the primary work surface. Teams that want a ticket queue first with AI attached later are describing the legacy model, which is the point rather than a limit.
Resolution rates in the range that makes a per-outcome bill expensive are reachable: Enjo resolves 63% of requests autonomously at Aurora, the autonomous vehicle company, in employee IT support. On a per-reply meter, a higher resolution rate doesn't add a charge; the bill follows how many replies the AI sends.
Bringing Intercom content and conversations into Enjo
Moving is optional and customer-led. Enjo Platform imports Intercom conversations into Inbox and Intercom articles into Help Center, and Help Center can generate new articles from your Intercom ticket patterns. Your agent's knowledge can also come from Confluence, Google Drive, SharePoint and Notion on a daily sync, plus your website and uploaded files.
How to estimate your own Intercom bill
Five numbers decide an Intercom invoice. Collect them before you open the calculator or a quote:

- Count Full seats. Everyone who replies to customers, including part-time experts. Move internal collaborators to Lite seats on Advanced or Expert.
- Pick the plan and billing. The plan your must-have feature lives on prices every seat. Annual billing saves $10, $14 or $7 a seat a month.
- Estimate Fin outcomes. Monthly conversations times the outcome rate you are aiming for, times $0.99. Add $9.99 for each sales qualification if you use Fin for Sales.
- Add the add-ons. Copilot at $29 or $35 per teammate who needs more than 10 conversations a month, Pro at $0.20 per conversation with a $100 monthly minimum, Proactive Support Plus at $99.
- Add channel usage. SMS, WhatsApp, phone and email campaigns from your own volumes and regions.
Then run the same volumes at an outcome rate 20 points higher than your starting estimate. That second number is the one to budget for if Fin works the way you are buying it to.
Pay for AI replies, not for seats or outcomes
The Free plan of Enjo Platform includes 200 AI replies a month, unlimited human agent seats, Inbox, Help Center and Insights. When the 200 replies are used, requests escalate to your team in Inbox, so nothing is dropped.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Intercom cost per month?
Intercom costs $29, $85 or $132 per Full seat a month on annual billing for Essential, Advanced and Expert, or $39, $99 and $139 month to month, plus $0.99 for every Fin outcome. A three-agent team on Essential with 500 Fin outcomes a month pays $582 a month on annual billing, before add-ons and channel usage.
Is there a free version of Intercom?
No. Intercom has no free plan. It offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card that includes Fin and the Pro, Copilot and Proactive Support Plus add-ons, and an Early Stage program for startups with under $10M raised and 15 employees or fewer, at 93% off in year one, with free Fin usage of 300 outcomes and 15 qualifications a month in year one, 150 outcomes a month in year two and 75 in year three. Enjo Platform has a permanent Free plan: 200 AI replies a month, unlimited human agent seats, Inbox, Help Center and Insights, with no credit card.
How much does Fin AI Agent cost?
Fin AI Agent costs $0.99 per outcome, charged at most once per conversation, and $9.99 per sales qualification. It is included on every Intercom plan and billed on top of seats. On another helpdesk, Fin costs the same $0.99 per outcome with a minimum of 50 outcomes a month. Intercom's pricing page lists Fin Voice at $1.99 per voice outcome through sales; Fin's pricing page describes it as custom pricing for select customers.
Does Intercom charge when Fin hands a conversation to a human?
Only when Fin completes a Procedure you configured to end in a handoff, which is billed at $0.99. Escalations under Fin's default behavior or your workspace escalation rules, a customer asking for a person, frustration Fin detects, and failed Procedures are not billed. A customer who leaves after Fin's answer without asking for more help is billed as an assumed resolution.
Is Intercom priced per seat or per user?
Intercom is priced per Full seat, one for each teammate who replies to customers or sends outbound messages. Lite seats for internal collaboration are free, 20 on Advanced and 50 on Expert, and Essential includes none. A Lite seat can't send messages or use Copilot.
Does Intercom offer discounts?
Yes. Annual billing costs less than monthly on every plan, Intercom's pricing page currently shows a new-customer price on Essential of $19 a seat on annual billing, the Early Stage program gives eligible startups 93% off in year one, 50% in year two and 25% in year three, plus free Fin usage of 300 outcomes and 15 qualifications a month in year one, 150 outcomes a month in year two and 75 in year three, and Intercom says enterprise discounts may be available through sales.
Did Salesforce buy Intercom?
Yes. Salesforce completed its acquisition of Fin, formerly Intercom, on 10 September 2026, after agreeing on 15 June 2026 to buy it for about $3.6 billion. Salesforce says Fin will continue to serve its customers as part of its AI Labs; its announcement did not mention pricing changes.
How can I lower my Intercom bill?
Move internal collaborators to free Lite seats, pay annually, and buy unlimited Copilot only for teammates who use more than the 10 included conversations. On the Fin line, set a hard monthly outcome limit and configure escalation rules so frustrated customers are handed off rather than counted as assumed resolutions.
